It works well and it has more option for charging (AC and DC) than the one that came with the camera.

WRONG PRODUCT!, September 4, 2009
This is clearly NOT a replacement charger for the Powershot SD870 IS. Like the previous post, the 870 battery-operated has three prongs. It's not compatible with the two pronged item scheduled here.

Others have complained in the order of this item, but it works as advertised. It does have smaller quantity prongs than the battery, but it does not affect its charging capability.

Good product and amazingly inexpensive, original canon charger is a lot more.

I lost my charger on my last vacation and could not find a replacement within the store. Lucky for me because this one was crazy inexpensive and works just fine.

this item is down as a canon replacement charger for the powershot sd 870 is and powershot sd850 is, but it is not compatible with the powershot sd850, so it probably won't fit the sd870 either. the sd850 battery-operated has three connectors, but this replacement charger only have two prongs and neither of them fit. the battery does not even fit in the charger, much smaller quantity connect with it. the disturbing thing is this product is nominated as a canon product when it clearly is not. if it had been nominated correctly i most likely would not have bought it since i enjoy had problems with off-brand products that claim compatibility beside already-owned products. all i can say is buyer beware.

This charger is immaculate. It worked with my battery, only just have to push to make it fit surrounded by position. It came with the sports car charger and the european adapter.

This is NOT a charger for the Canon SD870IS! If I would have read the comments up to that time purchasing I would not have bought item. Buyer beware!!

I get in time and just charge the battry for use. I contemplate it's working because i didn't check with my camera. I don't think you can pass more comments on product but its good for price and worth it. So nothing wrong something like it.

Item arrived on time! For naysayers, the charger only have 2 pins. The battery has 3 pins, however, looking at the 3 pins on the battery-operated, the 2 outside ones are the + and - terminals, which correspond to the 2 pins on the charger. So far, excellent charging and usage!

I am extremely happy near this purchase. It was exactly what the seller have advertised, and it arrived much faster than I expected. I do not purchase many things online, but I would categorically buy something from this seller again. Very impressed!
