so your looking at this item to buy for a camcorder, well this is nil but a glorified smoke maker. the material or design of it cause it to smoke after 3 minutes and eventually blow. not just my unit but this brand of lighting or maybe this company. anyhow i'm disappointed and i'm returning this item for a refund. (half a star out of five)

this thing throws a lot of standard lamp, but it gets hot too. It is a good prospect for when you need some extra light and the hotshoe hurricane lantern is not enough.
