4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful piece for your most important strobe, September 23, 2008
I would recommend this to anyone buying their first swivel adapter for their main light. It's a great piece and markedly easy to use. It's sturdy and offers a great amount of multiplicity of movement. If you can afford it, buy as many of these as you can; otherwise, for your other strobes, any other cheaper model will be fine.

I can effortlessly mount my heavy flasher and umbrella with no issue. Very devout construction and solid feel to the whole structure.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bogen 2905 Swivel Umbrella Adapter, December 16, 2008
This Bogen 2905 umbrella bracket is top-of-the-line. Its body is type aluminum, painted black. Adjustment screw holes are all taped into the aluminum body. All adjustment screw are plenty big enough to handle most torque requirements. The swivel collective is tight and smooth. All knobs are large and durable. This is without doubt a well made bracket and is worth the price. You still must purchase a cold shoe bracket to mount your flash unit. If you are a serious photographer and/or want a bracket that can cart a lot of abuse and preserve on ticking, this is it!

It's nice and I appreciate a company who take pride in their product. They made it to ending and provide service for a life time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the extra, January 26, 2009
Solid metal construction. This one you can tighten and feel righteous that you won't deform it. DON'T BUY THE PLASTIC ONES! The only con going on for this is that it came with too much grease on the threads. I have to wipe it down, then use soap and water to capture rid of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!, March 30, 2010
I've shopped around and looked at a variety of umbrella adapters in the stores contained by my area and just wasn't convinced ample to purchase those cheap plastic ones or those fancy new-fandangle looking ones. I read the reviews on Amazon as well and found this little jem. One reviewer mentioned it was not plastic but metal and made contained by Italy. I immediately knew I found something worth the money and so I ordered two of these beauty.

Sure enough, once I got them, they really ARE worth their cost. Sure they're heavier than those plastic ones, but I know they won't break or wear out as suddenly. I love all the features on them and especially the two sizes of pins for the American and European style mounts.

I cannot add more almost this that hasn't already been said. Great item, if you want something good, you gotta wages for it, just not TOO much more. :)

I am pleased to say I made a apposite choice here, get these while quantities finishing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best umbrella bracket in the market, September 29, 2008
One adjectives problem with the plastic bracket is that it's tightening nob is in row with the tilt head and nob is taller than the top of the bracket, so that make securing down anything that is bigger than the diameter of the bracket, imposibble.

The Bogen/Manfretto bracket does not have that problem, plus the top button bar can turn the male stud, once the handle and nob are tighten, nothing will tilt or turn. This is one bracket what will last duration time. Highly recommanded.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice swivel adapter, February 6, 2009
I got this adapter to use with my fluffy stands, umbrella, and Canon flash set up. I use this item in the studio and on the road. Bogen make quality products and this one certainly meet their standards. This adapter is heavy and well built, probably better than any others I own seen. www.rmichaelimages.com

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth Every Penny, October 15, 2007
Sure you can buy the photoflex unit for partly the price and it comes with a cold shoe but don't be swayed. This piece is worth every prenny. It is made 100 times better than the photoflex and has a million little things where on earth intelligent choices were made and as a result it's much more user friendly.

Works great with my Bogen neutral stand and Westcott 45" umbrella. Wouldn't mind if it was a bit lighter, the weight/size seems unnecessary. But what do I know?
