Great for the price but break out the Iron, May 8, 2010
Bought this item in white, and black in both 10x13 and 10x20 and use for mask and stand work.

The Muslin is light weight but of a workable solidity (no light bleed through in most situations except for conceivably a window directly behind it)

The with the sole purpose issue i have with this muslin is its cotton point and hence its washablity. Its a pain. Doesen't matter if you hold a front loader or go to the laundry mat. your going to have to iron this point. If you think thats easy...I'll money you to iron mine...ugggh. It can be done (took me about and 30 min for the small ones and an hour for the larger ones)

So is it worth it...yeah it is...at this price point you expect to have some issue...and this one is surmountable. If you travel next to your backgrounds i would consider a portable steamer to help beside the hard creases after folding and transport.

A very correct quality Muslin at a great price. Worked great for a High School senior sitting but I did have to whip the iron to it to get rid of the fold lines. So give yourself extra time to bring the wrinkles out before using it.

White vinyl backdrop - DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM, February 16, 2010
This item be originally listed as a white vinyl backdrop. In reality if you search Amazon for white vinyl backdrop this item comes up. So I ordered this white vinyl set and a muslin backdrop appears at my door. since it was not what I ordered, I tried to exchange the item. The Discount Tommy associates did not respond until I threatened to give a bad review. I explained that I needed this item for an upcoming shoot and that they could bill me for the environment again while they waited on the return. No dice. They did not sell me a clean one and refund the returned item. They instead waited until the muslin be back in their hand and then shipped the white vinyl. NOW GET THIS... the white vinyl arrived rolled up and folded in partially wrapped in thin plastic. It be not in a box and not on a tube. The packaging be the shabbiest I have ever seen for any item ever. The fringe of the backdrop wasn't even cut straight. It appeared as if it was hack off a roll with a couple of scissors by someone who was in a principal hurry. That should have been my first clue that this be junk and I should have returned it right afterwards. I had already had to put sour my client because of the delay caused by their lousy service, so I hung the vinyl near hopes of using it. I have tried everything to get the roll grades out of this thing including steaming it after turning the heat channel up in our studio on more than one occasion. What a spend in dribs and drabs of time and effort. This has be hanging since I received it months ago and the vinyl refuses to relax at adjectives, even more than 3 months later. So now I enjoy this wrinkled vinyl thing that is completely useless as a set. Be warned, their service sucks and they only respond when you threaten to complain. The item I received be poorly packed and it has NEVER be useful in any channel. I hate to pitch the thing within the landfill but I honestly can't see what it could be used for. If there was a zilch star rating, both Discount Tommy and the vinyl backdrop would have gotten that instead of 1 star. What a ripoff. They deliver junk and lousy service, BUYER BEWARE!
