Cant beat the quality or the price., March 22, 2008
Only complaint is the shaft is incredibly thin metal and my clamp crimped it a little when I tightened it. Besides that, another great product from adorama!
Great Umbrella at a Great Price!, October 14, 2008
i be really surprised at the quality of this umbrella for the price. The removable cover is a great option as it give you the flexibility of both a shoot through and reflective umbrella. The black cover (silver-lined) removes quite easily. The rod seem to be made of a solid piece of metal and I had no problem with crimping contained by the clamp. All and all, this umbrella is a great value.
Worth every bit of $15, possibly even a little more, February 12, 2009
Great umbrella, flexible options, whether you want to bounce your flash or shoot it through, it take 30 seconds to take rotten or replace the black cover. great deal.
Very pleased with this product, June 20, 2008
I in recent times started doing studio work. Of the many umbrellas from which to choose, this is a wonderfully versatile reflective and shoot through alternative. The black/silver reversible backing is easily removed and, when on, is all right seated over the primary umbrella. Excellent value, as well.
It's a nice umbrella, December 24, 2008
i close to that it has a solid rod in the plinth of it so you can mount it without worrying about puncturing the metal rod. The black cover doesn't come past its sell-by date as easily as I would like it to but I mostly use it to shoot through anyway and own not had any problems.

I've actually get two of these. I'm not a pro but I know how to use them. They make some nice light. I usually use them as shoot through, every immediately and then I'll use the inside silver part to do some bounce.
I'd recommend these because you can do so much beside them. The black part comes of quite smoothly and then you have a shoot through. You can filch off the white shoot through part and put the black -silver crumpled part back on an voila its time the bounce some desk light. Or you could be lazy and just bounce sour the white shoot through with the black piece still on.
Build quality is apposite. You couldn't drive a truck over these but they haven't showed any signs of wear or bending in the year I've had one and months the second.
Not bleak for the $$$, August 19, 2008
I've used the Photogenic Eclipse umbrellas exclusively, but the most recent one I got opened up almost flat. I figure that a different umbrella wouldn't be a problem so I got a couple of these from Adorama. I only have to re-calibrate my custom white balance for these umbrellas using a digital target and we were righteous to go. They are kind of stiff out of the wrapper, probably because it have a removable cover. Overall though, it works just find and I haven't had any issues beside it.
Strobist, do not apply., November 6, 2008
Great product. Unfortunately i am starting to work on off camera flash and this umbrella is not portable. Love the fact though that it have multiple use as shoot through and Diffused light. Will be a great addition for a studio setup.
update 26-11-2008:
Have done some initial shots next to these in reflective and shoot through and must say not desperate at all.
