1.0 out of 5 stars Pathetic - DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT!, July 29, 2009
I never expected this from Amazon. The headset has scratches all over and is missing the ear buds.
Dint know 'frustration free' package meant 'frustration after opening' package.

1.0 out of 5 stars Unacceptable service, July 25, 2009
Like the previous reviewer, I received a Jawbone that had scratches all over the outside. My item was also missing all additional ear loops and earbuds, making it impossible to get a good fit. The device kept falling out of my ear. When I contacted Amazon they said they would refund, replace, or give me 20% of my money back, which leads me to believe they new this item was not actually new even though they were selling it as such. I asked them to replace the item, but I was then informed the item was out of stock. That particular SKU was out of stock, but a quick search of the site for "Jawbone 2" showed otherwise. It would be like looking at a shelf in a store that's empty and saying there is not stock, while there are plenty on the shelf below. I have since emailed Amazon 3 more times and not heard back. I am not only considering never doing business with Amazon again, but also closing my company's corporate account for which I am in charge.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your hard earned money, September 26, 2010
This product has far too many issues with it. Poor audio, ear clip falling out and often not realizing it, would have lost it had someone not seen it fall and unable to touch it while on a call or you will certainly end your call. This went in the garbage within a few weeks of my purchasing it.. DON'T WASTE YOUR $$. Knew 2 other people whom also purchased the product, one had the piece fall from the ear clip and it was stepped on, the other one tossed theirs as well.

1.0 out of 5 stars Mine was used too?!, July 29, 2009
I thought it was a crazy fluke finding scratches and ear wax with my jawbone via frustration free packaging. Mine was also missing additional ear buds and ear loops. Apparently others had this problem too. Nice to know it wasn't just me.

I have had many Blue Tooth devices over the last 5 years, Jawbone is the best for me!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing, September 23, 2010
I had heard good things about Jawbone bluetooth headsets, so I was eager to try these out. I bought one for myself and one for a friend for his birthday.

We both had problems with it falling out of our ears constantly. When we went to push it back in, we inadvertently would disconnect our call. The device would always start up with the volume turned all the way down so you couldn't hear anything without turning the volume up. The earhook broke off twice and we had to buy replacement earhooks.

And now, to top all that off - my Jawbone is totally and inexplicably dead. It won't turn on. Nothing. I've tried to charge it, no light comes on. My friend says his won't hold a charge for more than 30 minutes.

And it's now past the 90 day warranty period so I can't get an exchange.

Steer clear of these!Aliph Jawbone II Bluetooth Headset with NoiseAssassin (Black) [Retail Packaging]

1.0 out of 5 stars This product is clearly used - do not buy, July 24, 2009
I haven't written a review in a long time due to lack of time/energy, but I felt I had to this time just so you don't waste your time. Ordinarily I'm against docking a product's rating when it's clearly the merchant's fault. But since this is listed as a specially branded Amazon product in its title with respect to their specialized packaging, I feel this is fair.

This product arrived with teeth marks over nearly every surface of it -- as if a toddler or dog had a grand old time gnawing on it before Amazon packaged it in its "frustration free packaging". Okay, I'll admit there was zero frustration in opening the well-conceptualized and aptly named gimmick. But that frustration was realized in the wasted time of ordering a product that was clearly used and abused, and marketed as new. Even the earpiece had crud all over it. Could be some innocuous lint, but why should I have to care or even have to wonder or be concerned? Fact is, if this was truly new, it wouldn't have presented in that form.

Returned immediately and used copious amounts of Purell once I was done touching the disgusting product.

This is shameful. I used to respect Amazon. If by chance they do something to correct this problem by the time you order it, then good for you -- please don't think that I've written this review from my own imagination for my own recreation. This really happened to me just now.
