1.0 out of 5 stars not worth the money, February 2, 2010
its a $3 piece of junk priced at $30. Very poorly made and doesn't work with any type of case on the phone. The idea of the extra socket to replace the one you're using is great, but the product itself isn't worth it.

3.0 out of 5 stars No Car Mode and Hanging Parts, December 10, 2009
This dock is a disappointment, especially for the price. The dock does not have a magnet to launch the phone into car mode and the dock seems poorly designed. The actual construction of the assembly seems solid and unlikely to break. It has two adjustable joints to angle the dock as required. However, each of those joints has a rather large wingnut sticking out. There is also a mystery screw that protrudes from one of the arms. The 12V socket to connect the Droid's charger to just hangs from the assembly by its wires. All of the pictures make it look like it's an extension of the lower arm.

I really wanted a car dock that mounted to my 12V socket, but I do not think that I will keep this dock.

2.0 out of 5 stars Covers audio jack so get out your file!, February 22, 2010
I just ordered one 2/15/10 and the system works fine
except for one fatal flaw. You can't plug anything into the headphone jack! The mount partially blocks it. So if you want to plug in your Droid to you car's stereo system, you can't do it.

Plugging in your droid to the car's stereo which works great by the way and gives you a great hands free phone set up! You hear the person calling on your Stereo and the Droid picks up your voice perfectly!

I sent an email to AMZER support but just got a form letter that didn't address the issue.

I used a small cylindrical metal file and filed a groove in the top tab so I can now use it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poorly Designed, March 23, 2010
I should have read the other reviews. The top clasp covers the audio jack. The extra outlet just hangs. The whole thing spins in the socket too freely. This could be much better and would be worth even more if it was designed properly. Things I would like to see are integrated charger, usable access to the audio port, automatically start the Car Home, find some way to stabilize it so it does not rotate as freely.

I suggest you keep shopping. This will do what it says, but no more.

2.0 out of 5 stars Covers up audio jack!, December 11, 2009
The concept of this mount is clever except for one crucial design flaw, it covers up the audio jack. Not sure how a design flaw like that got past QC considering the jack would be available if they moved the top bracket over just a few millimeters. If you don't plan on using the music player on your DROID in the car then I would recommend this mount. But for $30 there are better alternatives.
